- Novembre 2005 – Ottobre 2010: Periodo di formazione specialistica inizialmente c/o la Clinica Mangiagalli di Milano e successivamente c/o l’Ospedale L. Sacco di Milano, durante la quale sviluppa grande interesse per la fisiopatologia della riproduzione femminile ed in particolare per le malattie materno-fetali. Svolge contemporaneamente attività di ricerca sul ruolo della placenta nello sviluppo di preeclampsia e ritardo di accrescimento intrauterino

INDIRIZZI DI RICERCA SPECIFICI
- GISPAP: Gruppo Interdisciplinare per lo Studio delle Patologie Associate al Papilloma Virus VALIDHATE, valutazione e monitoraggio dell’infezione da HPV e delle patologie correlate in donne ad elevato rischio per il carcinoma della cervice uterina
- Valutazione in vivo della permeabilità placentare a soluti idrofilici (inulina) in gravidanze fisiologiche e complicate da ritardo di crescita fetale (IUGR).
- Studio multicentrico: ruolo di ACE, Adducina 1, SNPs e di VEGF in aborti spontanei e morti endouterine con particolare attenzione a quelle da causa inspiegata
- Studio multicentrico: correlazione tra eventi avversi della gravidanza e parodontiti.
- Ruolo dello stess a livello del reticolo endoplasmico nell’eziologia di IUGR e/o preeclampsia.
- Complicanze ostetriche e sindrome da anticorpi antifosfolipidi: meccanismi patogenetici molecolari come nuovo target terapeutico e fattori prognostici.
- Ruolo dei polimorfismi di ACE e Adducina 1 in gravidanze con preeclampsia; valutazione su sangue materno e fetale.
- HAPPY study: trial clinico multicentrico randomizzato sul ruolo dell’eparina a basso peso molecolare in donne con pregressi eventi ostetrici avversi.
- Correlazione tra eventi ostetrici avversi (IUGR, morti endouterine...) e trombofilia.
- Ruolo di Pentraxina 3 (PTX3) nella patogenesi di preeclampsia ed IUGR

2. Progetto PREGENESYS (Development of Early Non Invasive Biomarkers and Means for the Diagnosis and Progression Monitoring of Preeclampsia and Tailoring Putative Therapies) finanziato dalla Comunità Europea.
